Sorted ("the App") is developed and operated by Luke Kosonen ("I", "me", "my"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your choices regarding your data.
Information I Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, I collect:
- Email address (if you sign up with email)
- Phone number (if you sign up or link a phone number)
- Display name
- Name and email from Apple or Google (if you use Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In)
Profile Information
You may optionally provide:
- A profile photo, which is stored securely in cloud storage
- An avatar colour preference
Household and App Data
When you use the App, the following data is created and stored:
- Household name and membership information
- Recipes you add (name, description, tags, notes, and optional images)
- Dinner decisions, votes, and calendar entries
- Invite codes used to join households
Notifications
If you enable push notifications, I store a push notification token on your account to deliver timely updates about dinner decisions and household activity. You can disable notifications at any time in the App or your device settings.
Support Requests
If you submit a problem report through the App, I collect your user ID, email address, the category of the issue, and any details you provide.
Information I Do Not Collect
- Location data - the App does not access your location
- Analytics or tracking - the App does not use analytics, advertising identifiers, or third-party tracking
- Contacts or calendar - the App does not access your device contacts or calendar
How I Use Your Information
Your information is used solely to:
- Provide and operate the App (authentication, household management, recipes, dinner decisions, calendar)
- Send push notifications you have opted into
- Respond to support requests
I do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services to operate:
- Firebase (Google) - for Authentication, database, file storage (Google Privacy Policy)
- Expo - for push notifications (Expo Privacy Policy)
- Apple - for sign in with Apple (Apple Privacy Policy)
These services may process your data as described in their respective privacy policies. Data is stored on servers operated by Google (Firebase) in the Australia region.
Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data will be removed. Household data you contributed (such as recipes or past decisions) may be retained in anonymised form for the household's continued use.
Your Rights
You may:
- Access your personal data through the App
- Update your profile information, email, phone number, or password at any time
- Delete your account at any time
- Disable push notifications through the App or your device settings
Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided me with personal data, please contact me so I can remove it.
Changes to This Policy
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the App or on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
